Women in Construction Week

We’ve loved seeing so many posts celebrating #WomenInConstructionWeek this week, celebrating the growing number of women working in construction. With over 15% of new construction apprentices and 37% of new industry entrants now women, the industry is helping to break down the bias that only men can be seen in hi-vis or that construction is just a job for men. It reinforces that women are increasingly being recognised and supported across the sector.

Those of us who have been in the industry for a while have seen how small the pool of women used to be, and it’s wonderful to see that grow and evolve, with more and more doors opening, more women building successful careers across all areas of the sector and becoming business leaders.

And we’re fortunate enough to work with some of those talented, hardworking and dedicated women, helping shape the future of construction
